Disaster Report

Ten years ago, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast. Children often suffered the most. It soon became clear: U.S. emergency planning did not account for children's unique needs. A decade later, is our nation better prepared to protect children from disaster? Our expanded annual disaster report card finds some important progress. But far too many serious gaps remain.
